From packaging for Cobbs own brand spirits to a whole new look

Last autumn, Cobbs Farm Shops approached Silverless to design packaging for their house brand of spirits, including gin, vodka, and rum. Drawing from our experience launching Silverless Gin, we were excited to take on the challenge. As we explored the brief, it became clear that the Cobbs brand itself needed a refresh. In response, we redefined the brand’s purpose and established a new creative direction for all marketing materials.

With the goal of launching the spirits before Christmas, we worked swiftly, ensuring that the main brand’s influence flowed seamlessly into the in-house products. Our collaboration with the Cobbs team resulted in a new brand ethos: “Fighting the Good Fight for Better Food.” This vision inspired the creation of a ‘Good Food Manifesto,’ which is now proudly displayed in their stores, head office, and website.

The existing Cobbs logo, known for its bold and timeless design, was retained, but we introduced a fresh colour palette, illustrative assets, and a refined typography system. The updated look strikes a balance between a rustic, farmer’s market aesthetic and a premium, elegant feel.

The project concluded with comprehensive Brand Guidelines and training to empower the Cobbs team to utilise them in their future marketing efforts, including upcoming store openings.
