Silverless Gin launches
It’s been over a year in the making, but this just got real…
What started out as an excuse to hand-draw our own label and do a dozen bottles for friends and clients turned into the launch of 500 bottles of incredible gin.
Mid 2018 we set ourselves the target of producing a dummy label in time for our Kenya photoshoots in December. We printed off a semi-finished label the night before our flight, and gingerly packed 3 empty bottles into our Peli camera cases.
We returned to the UK at the start of 2019 brimming with new years enthusiasm and bolstered by friendly encouragement from friends and clients. We were lucky enough to find an incredible distiller who brought a superb gin to our beautiful bottle. We also agreed with a ladies community co-operative to work with them to produce beaded collars for the necks of our bottles. We will be writing a lot more about these amazingly talented Maasai women soon.
So here we are. Two weeks until Christmas and hundreds of bottles of Silverless Gin. We’ve learned to wax seal, been granted an alcohol licence, and have imported hundreds of beautiful beaded Maasai collars.
